The Javanese are concentrated on the island of Java, particularly in Central Java and East Java. Since the existence of government programs such as Transmigration, the Javanese had spread to several regions in Indonesia. Workforce programs abroad also bring many Javanese people scattered abroad, as to the neighboring country Malaysia, and several countries in the Middle East.
